A £1MILLION lottery prize is going begging – with around 36 hours left to claim it.

The mystery ticket-holder from north Ayrshire has failed to come forward since the EuroMillions millionaire raffle in November. Unless they do so before 11pm tomorrow, the prize will be gone forever.

Lottery operators Camelot are urging EuroMillions players to double-check their tickets for the chance to claim the prize in time.

A spokesman said:  “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings.

“This amazing prize could make a huge difference to somebody’s life. “We’re urging everyone to look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.

“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward in time.”

The winning ticket was bought for the draw on November 25 and matched the EuroMillions Millionaire Raffle selection VR165019.

If no one comes forward with the winning ticket before the deadline, the prize money, plus all the interest, will go to The National Lottery Good Causes fund.

Anyone who believes they have the winning  EuroMillions  ticket should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
